HDW Electronics, Inc. was established in 1987 as the U.S. subsidiary of the German company HDW AG.  In the early 80’s, HDW invented, patented and developed the Arc Reflection Technology, which continues to represent the state-of-the-art fault locating method for solid dielectric cables.  Since its inception, HDW Electronics has been instrumental in promoting the arc reflection method in the United States and provides specific products for the U.S. market, which are designed and manufactured at its facilities in Bethlehem, PA.

HDW Electronics, Inc. is part of the SebaKMT Group, which is the world’s largest specialty manufacturer of cable fault locating, cable diagnostic, and cable and pipe tracing equipment.  Constant research and product development efforts provide our customers with innovative and reliable products. Two recent examples are SECTIONALIZING SOFTWARE FOR TROUBLESHOOTING (US Patent #6,682,549 B2) and LEAKAGE CURRENT MEASUREMENT CAPABILITY OF THE VLF 0.1 Hz AC HIPOT TESTERS (US Patent #6,737,872 B2).  Together with our customers, we create custom solutions that fit their technical and operational requirements.
