CI – CABLE IDENTIFIER

The CI – Cable Identifier is designed with safety as the number one objective. With the CI unit the identification of a cable can be accomplished quickly and safely. The system consists of the current pulse generator CI TX and the receiver CI RX. This receiver is permanently connected with a 12 inch flex clamp for decoupling the identification signal. The pulse generator CI TX generates saw tooth pulses up to a peak current of 100 A and sends them to the cable being identified. This current causes an electromagnetic field around the cable which is registered with the flex clamp of the receiver CI RX and automatically calibrated and displayed on the LED scale. The only possible adjustment is to vary the strength of deflection in the display. A special software function controls and verifies all parameters of the registered pulse. The generator unit has a battery runtime of more than 50 hours to make the system extraordinarily flexible in use. Use the LCI TX when identifying “live” secondary cables up to 240 VAC.
